Destination VanuataThis is a quick note to advise all interested parties; the weather prognosis we got today showed ANOTHER massive high pressure headed for the Tasman sea, expected to produce southerly gale force winds for the next week. We can't (and don't want to) make headway into that, and it will last too long for us to reasonably just hold station at sea. We tacked west this afternoon, and are bound for Port Vila, on the island of Efate. Should arrive off the harbor there late morning, day after tomorrow. More info soon. Present location 16 53S, 173 39E. We are already feeling the effects of the gale SE of us....Big swell, and to Karen's delight COOL air. She's in the cockpit, wearing a sweatshirt, grinning as we jump off the swells. Ted
